Realising there must be divers who didn't like the rush and crush of the crowd, and would like some service, Fran and Monty started Custom Aquatics, where the guest is the guest. The chartering of one's own boat allows for a singular luxurious pace, and service for 12 years worth of guests, many of whom are repeats.

Shying away from the typical dive packages available to visitors, the couple set out to find the most pristine, untouched dive sites in the islands of the Bahamas, places where nature remains in perfect balance, and visitors from the surface are few and far between.

Now the company is recognised as the leading custom dive specialists for those who know the best of the ocean's dives are far away from the usual pack. Offering dive charters and custom trips around the island of New providence, and east in the untouched Northern Exuma Cays, Custom Aquatics stays true to its promise of a truly customised and personal service.

Fran, a real Bahamian and Custom Aquatics founder, hails from Nassau. An instructor since 1972, Fran has over 30 years of experience diving around Nassau and the Exuma Cays.

Add to that stunt diver, children's instructor, commercial diver and waterskiier - and you'll appreciate the depth of Fran's love for water based sports.

Monty, Fran's husband, hails from Deer Isle, Maine, and has made The Bahamas his home since 1983. The company "tech rep", he brings Nitrox and mixed gas training to the team, as well as 20 years diving experience in Nassau and the Exumas.

Both Fran and Monty are licensed Bahamian offshore boat captains.
